I will never look at Betty White in quite the same way again!



Yeah, I know she broke her "sweet senior citizen" typecast in recent years, in movies such as "Lake Placid" and I thought that totally rocked. But Naked Betty White I could've done without seeing! LOL

Speaking of Naked Bettys -- was there ever anyone cooler than Bettie Page? Now HER I don't mind seeing naked. She was the ultimate mix of girl-next-door and sexy-vixen, and a real pioneer because before she came along those two qualities were mutually exclusive. She proved to the world that good girls could also be sexy and sexually playful and that they didn't have to be ashamed of their sexuality. I love her. I watched a documentary about her recently and it said that she later married and divorced several times and then found religion and left her pinup days completely behind her to focus on her new, entirely different life. In fact, she was shocked to learn that her pinup pics had resurfaced in the 1980's and that she had since become a cultural icon. She had no idea until the documentary makers tracked her down, and while she wasn't displeased about her pics being so popular once again, she has no desire to be in the limelight now in person. Even if she's now religious and her views have changed, there's no denying her pinup days had a huge and (I think) positive influence on American women's sexual mindset. Cheers to Bettie Page!
